    73-year-old woman killed in Upstate crash

    OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A 73-year-old woman was killed in a crash Monday morning in Oconee County.

    According to the Oconee County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred around 11:03 a.m. on Pickens Highway (SC 183) at the intersection of Wolf Stake Church Road near Seneca.

    Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said a Honda SUV was traveling south on SC 183 when it hit a Ford sedan on the driver’s side that was attempting to cross SC 183 from Wolf Stake Church Road.

    Officials identified the driver of the Ford as Mildred Towe Kelley. Kelley died at the scene as a result of blunt-force trauma injuries.

    This crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
