SEBRING, Ohio (WKBN) – Sebring McKinley senior Blake Thomas will continue her academic and athletic career at Baldwin Wallace University.

Thomas will join the Yellow Jackets’ volleyball program under the President’s Scholarship and the Governor’s Merit Scholarship.

“This accomplishment means everything to me,” said Thomas in a press release from the school. “It has been my dream to play this sport at the collegiate level ever since I first picked up a volleyball in 5th grade.”

Thomas was a First Team All-Conference player at Sebring, playing the position of outside and right side hitter.

“Blake signing and committing to BW continues to dispel the conception that students from smaller high schools will not get noticed, or have opportunities to play collegiately,” says Sebring Local Schools Athletic Director, Anthony Agresta. “We are extremely proud of her and can’t wait to see how much she can achieve in the next four years.”

Thomas plans to study chemical engineering at Baldwin Wallace.
