Spooky season is coming early for the thirteenth year in a row — the Comedy of Horrors Film Fest is back at SIFF Cinema Egyptian.

From 1 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, April 13, the independent theater at 805 E Pine St. will screen features and short films, with breaks for food, live music, and giveaways.

Presented by podcasters Steve and Gord of The BoneBat Show , the film lineup includes works from Australia, France, Canada, Spain, Ireland, Sweden, Korea, and the good ol’ U.S. of A.

However, six short films in the queue have connections to the Pacific Northwest, like “Three Houses Down,” which is directed by Washington native + Seattle Film Institute grad Ty Huffer .

    There are two headlining features:
    • “Minore” (2023) | Mysterious creatures invade a Greek seaside port, leading a band of misfits and musicians to slay or get slimed.
    • “Bloody Bridget” (2023) | This film about a burlesque dancer turned vampire is laughable and laudable — just be glad you’re not around when she whets her appetite.
So if you think you have the guts for some ghastly sights, don’t wait up. You can go ahead and snag tickets, posters, t-shirts, beanies, and other merch on the event website .
