NCPD: Uniondale Man Arrested after Grabbing Fistful of Cash from CVS Register, Fleeing Scene
The sixth squad reports the arrest of a Uniondale man for an incident that occurred on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 1:01 AM in Glen Cove. According to Detectives, Defendant Xavier Diaz, 20, of 732 Dale Place, was at the CVS located at 201 Glen Street when he ordered employees to open two cash registers, reached over and removed money from them and fled the scene in a 2015 Chrysler. Officers observed the defendant’s vehicle and initiated a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop on Glen Cove Road near the intersection of Northern Boulevard.

The fatal crash happened on Saturday, May 18 around 1:30 p.m. on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh, Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police said on Tuesday, May 21.
