Up North river access park with boat launch, picnic shelters, boardwalk to open this summer
PERE MARQUETTE, MI – A new park will soon open on the banks of Pere Marquette River in Northern Michigan. River Access Park, part of the expansive Pere Marquette Conservation Park, is on the west side of Pere Marquette Highway just south of Ludington. It’s still under construction and expected to open in June.
13 road closures to begin this week in Michigan
Construction crews are getting to work improving Michigan’s roadways and bridges. From Sunday, May 12, through Saturday, May 18, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has more than 110 road projects scheduled to close lanes, ramps, and full segments of major roadways. Sheriff asking for help finding man who robbed gas station in Manistee County
MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Manistee County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating a man who robbed a gas station in Brethren. The man walked into the EZ Mart on Keister Road around 3 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money in the cash register from the clerk, according to the sheriff.
