A car versus deer accident took place on May 6 at 11:30 a.m. on County Road E-34. Mark Raymond Bethell, 56, of Anamosa, was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport/LI when he encountered a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to Bethell’s vehicle was estimated at $2,500.
