Woodbridge had taken a 1-0 lead on a home run by Tim Deignan in the bottom of the second inning, but Sayreville answered with a pair of runs in the top of the third to take a 2-1 lead. Tom Schlaline's RBI single in the fourth inning extended the Bombers' lead to 3-1.

The Barrons came back to tie the game, 3-3, with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on Xavier Diaz' RBI single to left-center on a 3-2 count with two out.

Lukachyk finished 3-for-3 with a run scored, giving the senior 102 hits for his career, as he had half of Woodbridge's total of six hits against Bomber pitchers Moe Hedderman and Logan Kaufman.
