    HS Baseball: Calvary Day outlasts Morgan County, Metter swept by Crawford County

    SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Calvary Day baseball team advanced to the state quarterfinals after sweeping Morgan County, while Metter lost two straight to Crawford County on April 29.

    Calvary Day won the first game, 8-4. The second game will go down as an instant classic. Calvary Day and Morgan County were tied at 4 after 11 innings. In the top of the 12th, the Cavaliers touched the plate three times for a 7-4 lead. Morgan County responded with two runs, but Calvary Day won, 7-6.

    Out in Metter, the Tigers lost both games of a home doubleheader against Crawford County. The score of the first game, 8-5, and the second game, 2-0.
