Savannah Salvation Army preps for upcoming events

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Salvation Army of Savannah is celebrating 125 years of serving the community through emergency sheltering, transitional housing, feeding programs, afterschool tutors, senior programs, and disaster services.

We sat down with Krissy Williams of Savannah’s Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary to discuss some of their upcoming events.

Bargains on Bee will be taking place on Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Salvation Army located at 3000 Bee Rd. in Savannah. It will feature local community vendors, arts & crafts and housewares.

The nonprofit will also be hosting its annual Love Has an Army Gala on May 11 at 6 p.m. in the Charles Morris Center in Savannah. All proceeds from the gale will benefit the Salvation Army of Savannah.
