SAUGATUCK — Local entrepreneurs Chad and Sabastian Garsnett have announced the grand opening of their newest Garsnett Beacon Candle Co. location, set for this Thursday, May 2.
A new storefront in Saugatuck will be the third location the pair has opened in less than two years, having experienced successful openings in Holland in August 2022 and Grand Haven in November 2023.
Sebastian Garsnett said the new location — at 109 Butler St. — “embodies a boutique-style atmosphere, offering an intimate setting while maintaining the exceptional service and quality craftsmanship” that has allowed for the company’s rapid growth.
The opening of the new store comes three years after they visited Saugatuck from Indiana and fell in love with the town and its people. From that point on, it was a dream to one day open in Saugatuck, though they opened in Holland and Grand Haven first.

The new location will offer the business’ popular candle-pouring experience, ideal for date nights, family activities, birthdays and more. Garsnett Beacon carries over 100 fragrance choices and dozens of container options, allowing customers to customize their own unique candle.
“We’re truly thrilled to be lighting up Saugatuck with our passion for not only candle making but our extensive collection of home fragrance products,” Chad Garsnett said. “This store opening is a testament to the incredible journey we’ve been on, and we can’t wait to share it with the community.”
Sebastian Garsnett said the company’s website is updated to include the new store and they are now taking reservations for the Saugatuck location.
