NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Wednesday kicked off day one of the Nebraska high school state track and field meet out in Omaha. Teams from classes A and B are taking center stage today. Weather played a factor, as rain and lightning in the Omaha area delayed afternoon running events. Listed below are athletes that medaled on Wednesday.
State Baseball Tuesday Results; Wednesday Schedule
OMAHA – The Nebraska State Baseball championships continued in Omaha on Tuesday with several elimination games wrapping up several seasons for teams. In Class C, Adams Central fell to Mount Michael to end the Patriots year, while Central City/Centura advanced with a win over DC West. The Kernels will now take on a rematch from the opening round facing off against top-seeded Malcolm at 10 AM from Papillion-LaVista South High School.

Ley ties school record at state
OMAHA — Wayne came home empty-handed during the 2024 Nebraska State Track and Field Championships, but the two-day meet wasn’t without its share of exciting moments. In boys action, senior Mason Ley tied the school record in the pole vault Thursday with a best effort of 13 feet, matching the mark set by Mason Reynolds in 2017.
