The Village of Bartlett board meeting was called to order at 7:09 p.m. on November 13, 2023. The meeting met at the Village Office, 425 Randolph St. The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Plugge. The members present were Nichols, Plugge, and Einspahr. Also present: Emma Smith, village clerk. Notice of the meeting was given in advance by posting at: Bartlett Post Office, WeMart, and Village Office. Twin Loup placed five players on the all district first team. Representing the Wolves with first team honors were Quincy Ryker (RB), Mace Beran (OL), Waylon McBride (DL), Cazen Smith (LB), and Garrett Keith (LB). Ansley/Litchfield placed three players on the all district first team. Luke Bailey (WR), Zach Loy (QB), and Ashton Behmerwold (LB). Wryder Svoboda (WR) of Burwell was also a first team selection. BURWELL, Neb. — A Burwell man facing charges after the death of his girlfriend will serve jail time on a misdemeanour charge. According to court records, Calvin Measner pleaded no contest and was found guilty of driving under a suspended license. Two counts of obstructing an officer, and tampering with evidence were dropped in exchange.

BURWELL, Neb. (KSNB) - On Thursday, a Garfield County judge sentenced a Burwell woman convicted of crashing in to a bait shop this spring. The judge sentenced Tammy Melling, 43, to two years probation, one year suspended driver’s license, as well as a suspended sentence of 90 days in jail if she doesn’t meet the terms of her probation. She was also ordered to pay restitution to the owner of Dad’s Calamus East bait shop.
