SCSO: Man arrested on 20 counts of felony charges

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tamaryn Bennett, 25, of Saratoga Springs, on Thursday following the execution of a search warrant. Bennett is facing 20 counts of felony charges.

Charges

  • Two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Six counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • One count of criminal manufacture of an undetectable firearm
  • 11 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon

The SCSO Special Operations Team and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Saratoga Police Department at 79 Quevic Drive in Saratoga Springs following an investigation. Police say that during the search they found large amounts of methamphetamine, fentanyl, Xanax, suboxone, and cocaine.

Police also reported finding multiple 3D printers with 3D-printed firearm receivers for handguns and a MAC-10 machine gun, a 3D-printed firearm silencer, and several high-capacity ammunition devices. There was also an additional search warrant executed at a home on Shippee Road in the town of Day where police say they found an AR-15 with high-capacity magazines.

Bennett was arraigned in Milton Town Court. He was then placed in the custody of Saratoga County Jail without bail.
