Police have released footage of the moment a K9 and his handler tracked down a missing non-verbal, autistic child who had wandered away from his home in Okaloosa County, Florida.Dog Beau and deputy Tim Patterson found the missing boy within 10 minutes of beginning their search.“After a sniff of a shirt the eight-year-old had worn, they started their search and K9 Beau began tracking,” Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office wrote, sharing the video on social media.“In under ten minutes, they found the little boy behind a house, standing in some bushes and deputies quickly returned him safe and sound to his worried family.”Click here to sign up for our newsletters. OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Troopers are on the lookout for a driver that reportedly left the scene after crashing into a building. Sometime during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, Florida Highway Patrol says a Toyota Rav4 drove through the parking lot of the Sherwin Williams on Beal Parkway and crashed into the south side door.

Recent heavy rainfall impacts the Wiregrass
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - It’s been quite a stormy stretch these last days of March throughout much of the Wiregrass. Severe storms Saturday brought bad weather, including an EF0 tornado in Houston County near Ashford. Some of the storms brought big hail stones, and off and on heavy showers. Those downpours, however, closed the rainfall deficit at the Dothan Airport for the month of March.
Paxton City Council discusses agreements with Walton County and food pantry
Paxton City Council met for its monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 21. Three Paxton families received a one-time water bill waiver after experiencing major leaks. The council then discussed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Paxton and Walton County School district. This MOU allows for the Paxton school to use the Agricultural Building in the case of an emergency. This is a long-standing agreement and the Paxton School’s principal is in possession of a key for the Agricultural building. A motion was passed to continue the MOU with Walton County School District.
