SpaceX Set To Launch Falcon 9 Thursday Evening

SpaceX announced the scheduled launch of its rocket Falcon 9 from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) to deploy more Starlink mini-satellites.

According to SpaceX officials, the Falcon 9 rocket will launch tonight at approximately 7:20 p.m. from Vandenberg Space Force Base northwest of Santa Barbara, carrying a payload of 22 Starlink mini-satellites.

A comparable mission using the same rocket was executed earlier this month by SpaceX.

Falcon 9 is a reusable, two-stage rocket designed and manufactured by SpaceX for the reliable and safe transport of people and payloads into Earth orbit and beyond.

The booster will attempt to land on SpaceX’s autonomous spaceport drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You” stationed in the Pacific Ocean.  This is the Falcon 9’s 27th mission of 2024.
