According to a recently submitted permit application, commercial real estate development firm Ensemble Investments is building a mixed-use project in Santa Clara that will include a Beer Garden and Food Village.

“Ensemble began initial site work on a 1.87-acre parcel at the new Tasman East District in Santa Clara, California in preparation for its first of six multi-family/mixed-use projects planned at the district. The Tasman East District is adjacent to Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, and Related Companies’ mega project Related Santa Clara,” a statement on the Ensemble website shares.

It continues, “Site work includes the demolition of a 29,000-square-foot industrial building to make way for the construction of an 8-story, 311-unit multi-family/mixed-use project which includes 15,000 SF of retail located at the gateway to the Tasman East District.”

Concerning the Beer Garden, the release discloses that “the Carl’s Jr on the site has also been closed and will serve as a temporary construction support office and later redeveloped as an entertainment hub with 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space to include a Beer Garden and Food Village that is envisioned to complement Levi’s Stadium 1/3 mile away” — however, what the menu will offer hasn’t yet been announced.

What Now San Francisco reached out to representatives at Ensemble to inquire about the concept, but they could not provide additional information before publication.

While an anticipated opening date has not been set yet, the announcement shares that “the Beer Garden and Food Village will open prior to the completion of the multi-family/mixed-use project.”

    Stay tuned for updates.
