Westfield skate park plans hit bump with costs estimated higher than expected
WESTFIELD — Jeff Burke, a skateboarding advocate who has been leading the charge to redesign the 24-year-old skate park in Amelia Park, which he and other local skateboarders have said is too dangerous to ride, presented cost estimates for the new park to the city’s Parks and Recreation Commission on Monday.
