Kidnapped San Marcos toddler found safe in Dallas

A San Marcos toddler is okay after being rescued in Dallas Sunday.

Legend Torres, 2, went missing Saturday in San Marcos. Police say he was taken by a man named Joey Torres who was driving a white Mitsubishi Outlander.

An Amber Alert was issued Saturday. Sunday morning, an SUV matching the description in the alert was found at an address in Old East Dallas on Live Oak near Fitzhugh.

Officers moved in, rescued the little boy and quickly arrested Joey Torres on some outstanding warrants. He was jailed in Dallas County until the transfer back to San Marcos could be arranged.
