San Clemente’s sand replenishment project restarts; the Dana Point Surf Club awards scholarships to two deserving DHHS seniors. The sand replenishment project is back on in San Clemente. After a false start this past December halted the project due to a steady flow of rocks and pebbles being pumped onto the beach in the North Beach area, the project has restarted and is focusing on delivering gloriously soft sand between Linda Lane and T-Street.

An event at Irvine Lake on Thursday May 9 will be livestreamed at 1 p.m. for Wildfire Preparedness Week, which is the week of May 5 – 11, 2024. CAL FIRE and its partner agencies will host four statewide events throughout the week to raise awareness on what CAL FIRE and their Partners are doing to prepare for the wildfire year, a news release said. CAL FIRE and their partners are preparing well in advance of a wildfire and taking steps now to reduce wildfire risks.
