6 arrested, massive haul of weapons and narcotics seized in San Jose gang bust

(KRON) — Six men were arrested for a gang-motivated assault with a deadly weapon on October 18 in south San Jose, the San Jose Police Department said.
At approximately 11:09 p.m., San Jose police found a man who sustained injuries on the 2300 block of Senter Road as a result of being attacked by multiple suspects. Upon further investigation, the San Jose Police Department Gang Investigations Unit (GIU) identified six people responsible for the attack.
On March 20, SJPD GIU detectives used search warrants in the suspects’ residences. Only one of the six suspects, Christian Sung, 31, resided in San José. The five other suspects were located in Garden Grove, Westminster, and Santa Ana in Southern California.
The other victims were the following:
Francisco Ocampo, 34, of Garden Grove
Anthony Nguyen, 31, of Garden Grove
Branden Un, 28, of Westminster
Bao Nguyen, 31, of Garden Grove
Tri Nguyen, 38, of Garden Grove
During the execution of the search warrants, SJPD detectives located and seized multiple firearms and several pounds of controlled substances:
One assault rifle
Fifteen handguns (one stolen, three privately made, 11 unregistered)
One 3D printer
Firearm parts
Ghost gun precursor parts
Over $80,000 in cash
13.5 kilos of MDMA
6 kilos of methamphetamine
2 kilos of cocaine
2 kilos of heroin
Police said Sung was arrested by SJPD in San José and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail. The other suspects were arrested by Homeland Security, and Westminister and Garden Grove police departments. All four suspects except for Sung are booked into Orange County Jail. All six men were booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
