A 34-year-old man suffered a fractured pelvis when he was struck by a 2017 Ram pickup truck in the Otay Mesa West neighborhood of San Diego Friday evening.

San Diego Police Department officers were called at 7:49 p.m. to the 1200 block of Picador Boulevard, where they learned the pedestrian was walking west across Picador Boulevard when a 25-year-old man driving the Dodge turned out of a parking lot on the west side of Picador Boulevard and struck the pedestrian, causing him to sustain a fractured pelvis, said Officer Curtis Doll of the San Diego Police Department.

The pedestrian was taken to UC San Diego Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police determined that alcohol was not a factor n the collision, Doll said.

The department’s Traffic Division is handling collision and anyone with information related to it was asked to call 858-495-7800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
