La Casa Verde Replacing Everbowl in Little Italy

A brand new Mexican eatery called La Casa Verde Mexican Eats is getting ready to make its debut in Little Italy , located at 1534 India St.

The company’s first location will move into the former home of Everbowl, according to a recent liquor license application. There is no exact timeline for La Casa Verde, but considering it is waiting on the city, it will likely open in the next few weeks. This is the latest from Atheer Ascandar , who has helped open various eateries in Downtown, including the now-closed Gelato & Chocolate Factory, followed by Pizza on 5th, which is still operating at 734 Fifth Ave.

Now, the business owner is getting ready to move slightly out of Downtown to a busy area in Little Italy. La Casa Verde will sit near several other restaurants, such as Harbor Breakfast, Burger Lounge, Isola Pizza Bar, Breakfast at Stephanie’s, and many more. While the area is known as a tourist attraction that favors Italian food, the new restaurant will have to compete with King and Queen Cantina and Not Not Tacos.

While the exact details regarding La Casa Verde are unknown, it’s safe to say the restaurant will offer a variety of Mexican food and a selection of alcoholic options. In addition to landing in a great area with plenty of foot traffic, the restaurant will serve as a new fast-casual Mexican option that will be more relaxed than its nearby competitors. La Casa Verde will also get plenty of business from being across the street from Consulado General De Mexico.
