Cacio E Pepe Replacing The Seventh House in North Park

A brand new Italian restaurant, Cacio E Pepe , is preparing to open in North Park , located at 2835 University Avenue.

San Diego Restaurant Group is changing one of its shuttered concepts at the corner of University and Utah. The hospitality group plans to open a new Italian concept in the former home of the Seventh House, first reported on a private Facebook group. While the upscale dining lounge closed last month for renovations, the company will move the brand to the back area as a speakeasy. Cacie E Pepe is expected to open in the next few weeks , possibly sometime next month .

The new Italian restaurant’s primary ownership group includes Alberto Morreale and Preston Cobb , Farmers Table restaurant’s co-founder and longtime bar manager. The two opened The Seventh House in late 2022 in the former home of MétlBar Creamery & Cafe. Now, the group is renovating the space to introduce more Italian options to North Park while moving the group’s mystic tarot-themed brand to the back of the building.

This isn’t the only restaurant San Diego Restaurant Group is rebranding. The group has either rebranded or is in the process of rebranding several of its concepts this year. To start, the company closed down The Heights Bar and Restaurant in Little Italy to change it to Roman Wolves Cucina Romana. Staying in the area, the group is converting Farmers Table to a new Italian concept . It’s unclear if the company plans to change any of its other restaurants, including The Butcher’s Cut Steakhouse, Saltwater Fine Dining Cuisine, and Panevino Tuscan Food Themes. Still, it proves the group is focused on staying ahead of the competition and relevant by providing fresh new concepts throughout San Diego.
