Second El Paisano coming to San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — A local Mexican restaurant will be taking over the old Heff’s Burgers building, expanding its business beyond the borders of Chadbourne Street.

The location closed in mid-2023 after a few years of being operated by the Heff’s Burgers restaurant chain. It has remained empty since. Now, locally-owned eatery El Paisano plans to take over the building.

A sign posted outside the building states that the business will be “coming soon.” It also asks prospective employees to apply in person at the existing El Paisano restaurant, located at 1406 S. Chadbourne St.

El Paisano is an “unassuming eatery luring locals with an elevated menu of steak tips, fajitas and classic Mexican fare,” according to its entry on the Discover San Angelo website .

Concho Valley Homepage reporters have reached out to El Paisano staff regarding when the location will open but have not received any official statements as of the time of publication.
