2024 Cinco de Mayo events in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — Cinco de Mayo fiestas will be taking place across San Angelo to celebrate Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire on Saturday.

Here are some Cinco de Mayo events that will be happening in 2024:

Viva Mexico Viva America

• Celebrate the music and dance of Mexican Americans who grew up on both sides of the border at the Murphey Performance Hall on May 2 at 7:30 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets.

Fiesta de Arte at The Chicken Farm Art Center

• To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, The Chicken Farm Art Center is hosting Fiesta De Arte to spotlight art that is inspired by Mexican culture. This event will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.

Cinco de Mayo Party

• Several locations in downtown San Angelo will be participating in a Cinco de Mayo Party. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on May 4, bars and restaurants like Fat Boss’s Pub, Whiskey River Saloon, Warehouse 150, Plateau Brewing Co., Zero One Brewing Co., Urban Salt Restaurant and Bar, Wandering Mind Brewery, Twisted Root Burger Co., Circuit Breaker Arcade Bar and Las Sirena will be stamping handbills for raffle prizes and gift certificates.

Pulgaso Cinco de Mayo

• From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, there will be a Cinco de Mayo event taking place at 609 S. Oakes St. This free event will have food trucks, a live DJ and over 40 vendors.

Cinco de Mayo by Southside Lions Club

• The Southside Lions Club will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo celebration at El Paseo de Santa Angela Pavilions from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. At his event, there will be folkloric dancing, mariachi, food trucks and vendors. Admission to Cinco de Mayo by Southside Lions Club is free.

Cinco de Mayo Animo and DJ NRG at The Penny Tap House

• Head to The Penny Tap House for a concert with Rita Capuchina and Amino along with DJ NRG at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 5.

Cinco de Mayo at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop

• DJ Pancho will be at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 5.
