    MISSOURI RIVER FLOOD WARNING: WAVES OF CONCERN FOR SALINE, LAFAYETTE, AND CARROLL COUNTIES

    The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri:

    Missouri River at Waverly affecting Saline, Lafayette, and Carroll Counties.

    Details:

    What: Minor flooding is expected.
    Where:Missouri River at Waverly.
    When: From Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.

    Additional Information:

    – As of 9:00 PM CDT on Thursday, the river stage was 16.4 feet.
    – The river is forecasted to rise above flood stage on Friday evening, reaching a crest of 20.4 feet early Saturday morning, and will drop below flood stage by Saturday afternoon.
    – Flood stage is set at 20.0 feet.

    Remember: Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood-related deaths occur in vehicles.
