Richford boys, Northfield girls claim D4 track crowns
MANCHESTER, Vt. (WCAX) - The Richford boys and Northfield girls stand atop the podium in D4 track and field after hard-fought days at Thompson Park in Manchester Thursday. The win was Richford’s first since 2015 while Northfield’s seniors went out with their second state championship. The Falcons lead the whole way on the boys side, earning a win in the 4x100 meter relay and a 400 meter victory from Daniel Blazevic along with depth throughout to down Green Mountain 137-112. The Marauders also claimed the 4x100 meter relay and added a win by Makenna Knapp in the 3000 to hold off Arlington and Rivendell.
