They Hate Change, which plays Bananas Records in St. Petersburg on April 20, 2024.
The first few minutes of They Hate Change ’s new EP are all about not being home. It’s fitting since the duo has been criss-crossing the globe since it signed to famed indie imprint Jagjaguwar in 2021 .

This weekend, St. Petersburg gets a chance to reconnect with Vonne and Dre when They Hate Change tops the lineup for
Bananas Records ’ Record Store Day party, which also features sets by indie-pop band Glass House Point, rock outfit The Pilot Waves, songwriter Mwiza Simfukwe, and more.

And while the Bananas warehouse on 16th Avenue North is a rite of passage for any self-respecting turntable owner in Tampa Bay, this show happens at the shop’s more traditional retail store on 22nd Avenue N.

There’s no cover for the Record Store Day Party happening at St. Petersburg’s Bananas Records on Saturday, April 20.

And if you need even more Change, see the group spin records at The Bends in St. Petersburg during an Elsewhere Records post-RSD pop-up shop that kicks off at 10 p.m.
