Part of eastbound I-26 near Swansea reopens after tractor-trailer fire

Eastbound Interstate 26 near Swansea has partially reopened after a tractor-trailer fire and resulting cleanup closed the roadway for hours on Sunday. Just before noon, the South Carolina Department of Transportation reported a vehicle fire near mile marker 131, and lanes remained closed into the early evening. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the fire involved a tractor-trailer and that eastbound drivers were being detoured at mile marker 129. Officials didn't have any details regarding injuries or the cause of the fire.
