Incident report: Person leaving program in Orangeburg County hears loud noise while driving, realizes he'd been shot
ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — A victim says he drove himself to an area hospital on Wednesday after realizing he had been shot while leaving a program at an area university. An incident report from the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Orangeburg on Wednesday just before 9 p.m., where they spoke with a shooting victim. Deputies said the victim said he was leaving a program at Claflin University when he turned onto Belleville Road from Chestnut Street. He told deputies he passed Mingo Street, heard a loud noise, and "started feeling lightheaded and dizzy."

12-year-old girl reported missing in Richland County found safe
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Richland County Sheriff's Department (RCSD) says a missing 12-year-old girl has been found and is safe. Investigators believed at the time that she may have been in danger because she was in the company of a non-custodial adult.
