Leon County to move forward with local recovery grants despite mixed messages at Blueprint
Leon County is raring to go with a local storm recovery grant program despite reservations by two commissioners that it could jeopardize federal emergency funding. How does FSU's returning production stack up to its opponents this season?
Florida State is going from a team with some of the most continuity in college football to one of the least. ESPN's Bill Connelly recently released his updated 2024 returning production rankings. In the transfer portal era, Connelly has had to adjust his methodology. He explains those changes here: One new thing I'm trying this year: FCS stats get half-credit. So if you threw for 2,000 yards in FCS, 1,000 gets dropped into the ret prod formula. If you made 50 tackles, your new team "returns" 25.

Florida State is looking to petition the NCAA to rescind penalties after NIL-related recruiting violations, as first reported by Yahoo Sports. The incident happened in 2022 when a booster and an NIL representative for FSU offered a prospect to play for the school. FSU negotiated with the NCAA to resolve this issue in January.
