New details are emerging after St. Joseph police spent much of Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning responding to a series of unrelated incidents. AFL-CIO in need of community's help
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) AFL-CIO Community Services is preparing to replace its Fab-U-Less Thrift Store pick-up truck, which is used for picking up large items. According to AFL-CIO Community Services Executive Director Nichi Seckinger, they are currently using a 2005 pick-up truck that is too small for some of their donation pick-ups and may be nearing the end of its road life. "Trying to haul small pieces of furniture or even big pieces of furniture in the back of a pick-up truck is pretty difficult," Seckinger said. "It wasn't unusual for our people to have to make multiple trips to one place to be able to get everything and so it was always kind of a wish that we would be able to get a box truck."
