Kansas State recently announced that a football series with Oregon State will replace one with Rutgers in 2030 and 2031, but due to Colorado joining the Big 12 — CU was a non-conference opponent in 2027 and 2028 — the Wildcats are searching for a replacement series. Washington State is on the schedule in 2026 and 2029, and finding a P4 opponent to schedule a home-and-home with that soon is a challenge. Well, a non-P4 opponent of note now needs some games and there's a very good reason for K-State to ask it to fills its openings.
