ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (WTRF) — More than a dozen motorcycle riders drove miles around the Ohio Valley in the rain…just to draw a winning poker hand.

The Experience Church in St. Clairsville hosted its first poker run, to point the way for children who have left foster care and don’t know where to go next in life.

The benefit raised money for Forgotten Angels, who bring hope through life skills and education.

Bikers and drivers drove to checkpoints to draw a card at each one, and see who had the best set upon returning to The Experience.

The church sees Forgotten Angels’ practical guidance as a natural fit for their mission of spiritual guidance.

“So a lot of the youth are kind of in this phase in their life where they don’t have the support of the foster care system and they’re really not sure what to do or where to go next…we want to make sure that our community knows that we are the church and we’re here to help and we want to play a part in that role.”

Kayla Dixon, Outreach Director, The Experience Church

The Harley-Davidson store provided gift cards for the riders, who played alongside motorcycle Youtubers Her Two Wheels and Brap Star.
