Bucknell students donate new power tools to Lycoming Habitat for Humanity
Williamsport, Pa. — The Bucknell University Habitat for Humanity chapter has donated a set of new power tools to Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity, strengthening the organization’s ability to build safe, affordable homes for local families. The tools were selected from a wish list developed by Greg Neal, construction supervisor at Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity, to address critical needs on active build sites. “These tools make a big difference on site,” Neal said. “Before, volunteers sometimes had to wait around for the right equipment. Now we can keep people moving and get more done safely.” The student-led chapter supports Habitat for Humanity’s mission through weekly construction shifts, campus fundraising, educational programming, and annual spring break service trips. The donation effort was led by chapter president Dominic Viozzi, a Bucknell senior majoring in civil engineering who has volunteered on several Habitat construction sites during his time at the university. Volunteer support remains essential to the organization’s impact. In the past year, 350 volunteers contributed more than 4,200 hours of service to local Habitat projects, including new home construction and minor exterior home repairs. “Bucknell students show up ready to work and ready to help,” said Dana Brigandi, director of development
