    Cambria County man seriously injured in motorcycle crash

    CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A St Benedict man was taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries after a crash on Monday in Croyle Township.

    According to Pennsylvania State Police, Shawn Shaner, 52, was driving a Honda Gold Wing on Monday, April 29. He was traveling north on Route 219 near Frankstown Road when he lost control of his motorcycle and overturned on the east berm of the roadway.

    Shaner was ejected during the crash and sustained suspected serious injuries, according to PSP. He was transported by the Forest Hills Area Ambulance to the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

    Police also noted that he used his helmet improperly in their report.
