    Vehicle a total loss after fire in St. Augusta; no injuries reported

    ST. AUGUSTA — Stearns County Sheriff Deputies responded to a vehicle fire at a home on the 6000 block of 225th Street last Thursday.

    According to a press release issued Monday, May 20, deputies found a 2010 Buick Lucerne fully engulfed in flames. The car was parked near the home’s attached garage.

    The St. Augusta Fire Department and Rockville Fire Department responded to extinguish the fire. The car was a complete loss and the house sustained smoke damage to the garage door and siding. No one was inside the car during the fire. All residents of the house evacuated and no one was injured.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation.
