MSP seizes guns, ammo, pills from Saginaw residence
SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - Michigan State Police seized guns, ammunition, prescription pills, and more from a residence in Saginaw. MSP said BAYANET (Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team) detectives executed a search warrant at a city of Saginaw residence, with the assistance of the Saginaw Emergency Services Team, on Thursday, April 25.
Saginaw County woman gets 4-20 years in prison for stabbing girlfriend 16 times
SAGINAW, MI — Three years on, a Saginaw County woman has been sent to prison for stabbing her live-in girlfriend more than a dozen times. Saginaw County Circuit Judge Darnell Jackson on April 4 sentenced Nikki J. Cortez, 25, to four to 20 years in prison. Jackson gave Cortez credit for 92 days served in the county jail.

BAY CITY, Mich. (WNEM) - Friday, April 26 marks 33 years since the death of two mid-Michigan police officers. The Bay City Department of Public Safety is honoring officers Raymond Rexer and Terry Jablonski. On April 26, 1991, the officers responded to a service call at about 5 p.m. and were shot to death in an ambush.
