TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Officials at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base announced the passing of a legendary pilot. Davis-Monthan says U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. (retired) Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson, the last surviving triple ace pilot from World War II, passed away peacefully May 17, 2024 at the age of 102.
