Wind gusts to pick up across Sacramento Valley this week. Here’s what to expect

Winds will sweep through Sacramento for most of this week, according to the National Weather Service, sending leaves swirling and trees swaying. Make sure to secure your lawn furniture.
This includes the cities of Chico, Red Bluff, Oroville, Sacramento, Marysville and Redding.
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” the advisory stated. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.”
When can Sacramento expect the strongest gusts?

When will winds be the strongest?
Wind gusts in Sacramento are expected to range from 6 to 33 mph, according to the weather forecast.
Gusts will begin Monday and last until Wednesday, when they’re expected to peak.
Here’s how fast winds will sweep in Sacramento, according to the forecast:
Monday: Winds ranging from 6 to 11 mph.
Tuesday: Winds ranging from 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph in the evening.
Wednesday: Winds ranging from 17 to 22 mph. Gusts could sweep as fast as 33 mph.
In some parts of the northern Sacramento Valley, along the Interstate 5 corridor, winds could go over 40 mph on Wednesday, and the weather service urges drivers to be cautious. This is considered “moderate impact” and residents can anticipate downed tree branches and possible outages with high winds.
According to Pollen.com, which provides allergy information and rates pollen forecasts on a scale of 0 (low) to 12 (high), this week’s pollen forecast shows levels ranging from medium to medium high.
Pollen will be the highest on Wednesday, with levels at 8.5.
The National Weather Service’s seven-day forecast shows clear and sunny skies in Sacramento this week.
Monday night will have clear skies, winds and temperatures as low as 49 degrees.
On Tuesday , the forecast shows northwest winds. Along with clear and sunny skies, temperatures will range from a high near 79 degrees and a low around 54.
Wednesday’s forecast predicts northwest winds. The high will be near 82 and the low around 52. Skies will be clear and sunny.
Thursday is predicted to have clear skies, with a high near 82 and a low around 53.
On Friday , the forecast shows sunny skies. Temperatures will range from a high near 84 and a low around 55 degrees.
Throughout the weekend , Sacramento will see partly sunny skies, with temperatures as high as 72 degrees and as low as 50.
