Baseball Recap: Oakdale picks up fourth straight win at home
Oakdale had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Washburn Pirates as they made off with a 12-1 victory. Oakdale's win was all the more impressive since Washburn was averaging only 3.68 runs allowed on the season.

KODAK, Tenn. — Victor Mederos spun five shutout frames as the Trash Pandas (19-19) blanked Tennessee Smokies (22-17) on Sunday afternoon, 2-0, to split the series. Following a deadlocked first three innings, Denzer Guzman got the scoring started for Rocket City in the 4th. Tucker Flint singled to begin the inning, advanced to second on a ground ball, and touched home on a broken bat knock up the middle from Guzman.
