On May 25, Tangipahoa Volunteers for Family and Community hosted a Coffee and Donut Social at New Beulah Baptist Church in Hammond. The event was to highlight what TVFC does for Tangipahoa and what the organization has to offer prospective new members. The TVFC has two clubs within it: Wednesday Volunteers for Family and Community and the Sunshine Ladies.

BATON ROUGE - Most Entergy customers dealing with power outages should have their power restored by Sunday night, according to a statement from the company. Customers in the Tangipahoa and Acadiana parishes can expect restored power by Sunday morning; the Eastbank of Jefferson Parish and River Parishes should have restored power by Sunday night.

Breaux spoke to students about the importance of mental health. Breaux himself suffered with mental illness growing up. LIVINGSTON, La. (BRPROUD) — As Tai’lynn Hines recovers in a Baton Rouge hospital, dozens of her family and friends gathered for prayer in Tickfaw. Last Saturday, the 11-year-old girl was in the bathroom when the family says more than 50 bullets tore through her home. She was shot in the upper torso by a stray bullet. They say three men stood in the front yard and shot at the house.
