Douglas County authorities searching for missing legally blind man
SUTHERLIN, Ore. – Search and rescue crews are searching for a 68-year-old legally blind man who was last seen walking into the dark on Sunday night. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Lynn Simmons, 68, left his home on Justa Lane in Sutherlin at about 9 p.m. on June 9. Simmons was reportedly last seen walking towards Nonpareil Road, but hasn’t been seen since. Deputies said Simmons is legally blind and has mental health diagnoses.
