    Gaskell Fire torches 400 acres in Rosamond

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A brush fire in west Rosamond produced massive amounts of smoke Thursday evening.

    On June 6, over 400 acres were burned by the Gaskell Fire, according to CalFire. This brush fire is in the area of 100th St. W and W Avenue A.

    The Kern County Fire Department is on scene, and no structures are threatened as of now, according to the agency.

    Large amounts of smoke will be seen from this incident, according to fire officials. Electrical wires from solar field projects nearby were damaged during this fire.
