Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest
On May 2nd, members of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office DWI Task Force conducted a traffic stop for a Chapter 20 Violation. After the traffic stop was made, a K9 was called to assist further. After a positive K9 alert to the odor of narcotics a probable cause search was conducted of the vehicle.

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Police responded to a home near 34 North Apartments and UNCW Tuesday morning, May 7, following an alleged shooting. Leland Police Department implements transfer switches at multiple intersections

The transfer switches will allow police to power traffic signals with the use of generators in case of a power outage.
