ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Domenica Felton, 45, for allegedly hitting a woman with a plastic snow shovel.

On Thursday, around 3:33 p.m., police responded to the 3000 block of Arcadia Terrace for a domestic violence call. The victim told officials that she and Felton were arguing in the front living room.

The suspect got into the woman’s face, so she pushed Felton through a button-up screen door onto the front porch, according to court documents. The victim went outside as well, police said.

The woman said the suspect picked up a large plastic snow shovel and swung it at her around four times, connecting twice, according to authorities.

Felton is being charged with aggravated battery while using a deadly weapon and domestic battery while causing bodily harm.
