Yoe cross country compete at Triangular
The Yoemen cross country team hosted the Milam County Triangular at the Junior High on Sept. 13. Kiera Land was the lone varsity runner for the girls team and finished third with a time of 10:30. The varsity boys competed against Rockdale and Aggieland and finished second with a combined total of 30 points. Eagle Gabe Sanders started the night off with an amazing punt return. Nearly making the touchdown to only get tripped up at the goal line. Eagle Andres Ruelas finished it off though. Mumford wins battle of Class 2A Top 10 teams
MUMFORD – The Mumford volleyball team rallied for a 22-25, 17-25, 25-19, 28-26, 15-12 nondistrict victory over Thrall in a matchup of Class 2A state-ranked teams Tuesday. Eighth-ranked Mumford (22-7) was led by Natalia Galvan who had 21 kills, six aces and four digs. Allison Scamardo added nine kills and four digs. Jayla Martinez had seven kills and five aces. Karlee West had 40 assists and four digs. Sam Sosa had four digs and Rehan Lehoski had three digs. Tenth-ranked Thrall fell to 15-8.

Leon Defeats Undefeated Thrall 20 - 14
Leon, Texas (KBTX) - Thrall came in tonight undefeated, but Leon handed the Tigers their first loss 20 - 14. The first touchdown of the night went to Leon and it sure was an intimidating one. Caden Hughes gets the credit for that interception and TD. Shortly following that TD motivation is high and leads to another TD in the first quarter, Garren Wise credited with that one. Thrall did manage to put up a TD before the half but just one was not enough to break the spirit of the Tigers.
