FRANKLIN – The Rockdale Tigers made Franklin work to win its 38th straight game as the Lions grabbed a 25-15 victory in 11-3A DI play Friday night at Hedrick Field. Franklin (6-0, 2-0) scored on a trio of short runs and added a 23-yard field goal to build a 25-3 lead after three quarters.

Yoe Cross Country hosts Dale Keen Invitational
The Yoemen cross country team hosted the Dale Keen Invitational at the Junior High on Saturday. Cameron had two runners in the girls varsity run. Yierra Flemings finished third in the meet with a time of 13:42. Kiera Land finished 12th in the race with a time of 14:43. The varsity boys competed against six other schools and finished second with a combined total of 57 points. Leading the way for the Yoemen was Damon Flemings, who finished fifth with a time of 17:10. Next for Cameron was Ricardo Reyes finishing eighth with a time of 17:58. Brady Havens was next to come through, finishing 12th with a time of 18:05. Josh Jochec was next, finishing 15th with a time of 18:46. Zachary Frausto was next, finishing 17th with a time of 18:54. Next was Alejandro Silva, finishing 25th with a time of 19:37. The last to cross the finish line for Cameron was Marbel Reducindo. Reducindo finished 30th with a time of 20:01. Up next for the Yoemen is the Troy Trojan Invitational on Sept. 30 at Troy.

The Cameron Yoemen football team hosted the Lorena Leopards on Friday. The Yoemen were defeated by Lorena in soul crushing fashion 43-41.
