Neighbor captures harrowing video of deadly South Carolina officer-involved shooting

ROCK HILL, S.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) – A deadly officer-involved shooting occurred in Rock Hill Sunday morning and harrowing video captured by a neighbor showed the entire ordeal unfolding.

The York County Sheriff’s Office has not yet released the circumstances and details surrounding the shooting other than that the initial incident involved a domestic violence call for help on Ellis Pond Drive.

Harrowing video of the incident captured by a neighbor showed the entire incident unfolding. A SWAT team could be heard in a mega speaker commanding an occupant of a home to exit. “We have an arrest warrant for you and a search warrant.” Then a team could be seen approaching the front door before an announcement on the speaker from the SWAT team, “Out the back door.” Two shots are then fired.

A woman appearing to be another occupant of the home could be heard screaming after the two shots were fired.

Officials later confirmed that a male suspect had died after the incident.

The sheriff’s office said all deputies were ‘physically okay.’ The sheriff’s office said that at this point no arrests have been made, either. SLED has already been notified and is expected to be involved in the investigation.
