    Class A Semifinals: (4) Greece Arcadia 26, (1) Webster Thomas 20

Thomas entered the Class A semifinals unbeaten at 11-0. When Arcadia played Thomas in the regular season, Thomas won 21-0.

But none of that mattered on Thursday night as Arcadia knocked off the top seed with a game-winning touchdown in the final minute to advance to the sectional championship game.

Tied at 20 with less than a minute to play on fourth down, Ashanti Caton heaved up a pass to a wide-open Kaitlyn Spring who caught the game-winning score.

Thomas had their own late-game heroics, as Catherine Rogers found Makella O’Neill in the end zone down 20-14 with less than five minutes to play to tie up the game.

Arcadia will play Penfield in the Class A final on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at Monroe Community College. The defending sectional champs from Penfield shut out Spencerport 19-0.

All of the Class B semifinals were lopsided affairs. In B1, Batavia beat Olympia/Odyssey 24-0 and Athena took down Monroe 33-0. In Class B2, Bishop Kearney defeated East Rochester 40-18 while Gananda shut out Canisteo-Greenwood 26-0.

The Class B finals will be played on Tuesday, May 21st, also at MCC. B1 will be played at 5:00 with B2 getting underway at 7:00.
